I was born in Liberty and raised in the Northland. I attended Liberty Public Schools, including Manor Hill and Ridgeview Elementary, as well as Liberty Middle, Junior, and High School. From being active in sports to excelling in theater, music, and academics, my public school experiences provided the opportunities for personal growth and built a foundation for success that I benefit from to this day.
I am proud of the Northland and of District 16. Not just because I was born here, but because our two public school districts, Liberty and North Kansas City, are two of the top public school systems in Missouri. I am running to serve my hometown community. As your public servant, I will fight to make sure our public schools are fully funded each and every year, so that all current and future students have the same opportunities I did, because I know the true value of high-quality public education.
While in New York, I also served with the USO organization. This allowed me to travel the world, giving back to our military men and women, and their families. This experience taught me valuable life lessons and led me to pursue a career in public service. I'm thrilled to announce that this December, I will be graduating from UMKC with a Master of Public Administration Degree.
Over the next few months I hope to earn your support, through volunteerism, donations, and if you’re in district 16, your vote. I look forward to learning about the issues that matter most to you and our community. As soon as it's safe, I will be going door to door and talking with our neighbors every week until election day. No matter what decision you make, I certainly hope all Missourians will vote this year on August 4th in the primary election, and on November 3rd in the general election. Thank you for being a part of our democracy!
If there is anything that I am more passionate about than serving my community, it is my family. Our home is made up of our two dogs, Miles and Delilah, myself, and my wife Bety, a California native and national champion synchronized swimmer. We happily live in the Highridge Manor neighborhood here in the Northland. We love laughing together, walking our dogs around the block, supporting local businesses, and avidly cheering on our Kansas City Royals and Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs! We look forward to meeting everyone here in District 16!
